Yolanda Villarreal

Yolanda Villarreal, 63, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 31, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas, to Roberto and Anita Villarreal, Yolanda grew up in San Antonio, where she developed a deep love for her family. Known affectionately as “Yaya,” she was a devoted mother and the heart of her family—a pillar of strength, compassion, and unwavering support.

Yolanda raised seven children, pouring endless love and dedication into their lives. Her guidance, laughter, and open arms were a constant source of comfort. She especially cherished family gatherings; her presence at holidays and celebrations brought joy, warmth, and a sense of togetherness to everyone around her.

She had a passion for homemaking and sewing, gifts she lovingly shared with her children and grandchildren. Yolanda was known for her radiant smile, infectious laughter, sharp sense of humor, and unmistakable style that could light up any room. Though she once held the title of beauty queen, it was her inner beauty—her kindness, grace, and humor—that truly made her shine.

Yolanda is survived by her loving siblings: Mary Ann French, Rudolfo Villarreal, and Elda Coronado. She is also survived by her beloved children and their spouses: Robert Sherwood Jr., Randall Sherwood & wife Sabrina Sherwood, Jennifer Sherwood, Joseph Sherwood & wife Christine Sherwood, Jeremy Sherwood, Rae Sherwood, and Nicholas Sherwood.

She leaves behind 13 cherished grandchildren: Angelique, Xandria, Marcus, Joseph Jr., Tristan, Angel, Izabella, Sophia, Christian, Amyris, Zaylee, Aiden, and Easton—along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Friends and family are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the family in Yolanda Villarreal’s memory.
