Viola L. Gonzalez

n November 7, 2021, Viola Gonzalez was called home to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 90. She was a loving step-mother, grandmother and aunt with a deep religious faith. Viola and her husband, Adolph Gonzalez, were longtime parishioners of St. Helena’s Catholic Church in San Antonio.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Adolph, her brothers, Pete Longoria and Noel Longoria, and sister, Diana Perales. She is survived by her step-daughter, Yvonne (Reuben), grandchildren: Jonathon Pacheco (Ericka), Andrew Pacheco and Stephanie Burkholder (Brian) along with her sister Hilda Watson. Viola is also survived by her loving nieces, Roseann Nava (Jose) and Michelle Espinoza (Mark) and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Silver Tree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Schertz for their love and utmost care of Grandma Vi and to Heart to Heart Hospice who cared for her during her final months.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 2:30pm at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery.
