In Loving Memory of Tomas Mendoza
Tomas Mendoza, age 91, passed away on September 28, 2026. He was born on March 7, 1935, and lived a long life filled with family, love, hard work, and many special memories.
Tomas had an amazing heart. He was considerate, very loving, and open about the love he had for his wife and family. He cared deeply for those around him and gave his love freely, even during times when he may not have received the same love and attention in return from some.
Together, Tomas and Josefina created a beautiful family. Tomas was blessed with 8 children, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He also had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. His grandchildren held an especially important place in his heart, and he always wanted to spend time with them and be a part of their lives.
Throughout his life, Tomas worked in construction and brick laying. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going out to eat, seeing new places and experiencing new things. Tomas enjoyed the simple things that made life special. He enjoyed going to Bingo with his daughters Rosie and Lydia. Getting coffee or tacos with Tom or Rey somedays. He loved special occasions, where there were barbecues, family gatherings, holiday fireworks, good food, margaritas, laughter, and memories being made at Kaylin’s or even small family dinner and movies at Blanca’s. These memories filled his heart with joy. Holidays and celebrations will never feel quite the same without Grandpa Tomas there.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Josefina Mendoza, who passed away in 2011, and his youngest son, Jesse, who passed away in 2015.
Survived by his 7 children: Lydia, Rosie, Tom, Blanca, Martin, Rey and Josie.
During the last two years of his life, Tomas shared a very special bond with his cat, Nala. They became inseparable and were very close. Nala stayed faithfully by his side until the very end. She brought him comfort, companionship, and so much love.
He deserved every bit of love, care, and time given to him, and his family will always remember the love he continued to show.
Nothing will ever feel quite the same without Grandpa Tomas. His loving heart, the memories he created, and the love he gave will remain with his family forever.
