Teresa Gonzalez Treviño, a beloved teacher and cherished family member, passed away on August 26, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by those she loved. Born on November 7, 1947, in Mirando City, Texas, Teresa dedicated her life to education, earning her Bachelor Degree in Education and becoming a lifelong educator. Her passion for teaching left an indelible mark on countless students over the years.
Teresa was not only known for her commitment to education but also for her vibrant personality, characterized by her amazing laugh and an enduring love for her family and furry companions. Family was at the core of her being, and she took great pride in the relationships she nurtured.
She is survived by three loving daughters, Cynthia Ann Treviño , Thelma Ann (Marty) De Leon and Rose Ann Treviño who will continue to honor her memory and values. Teresa also leaves behind two beautiful and precious granddaughters, Sophia Rose and Ava Jessenia De Leon whom she deeply adored. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and siblings: Norma Diaz, Guadalupe Guevara, Graciela (Georg) Gonzalez, Rafael (Clara) Gonzalez and Juan (Esmeralda) Gonzalez.
As we remember Teresa, we celebrate not only her dedication to teaching but also the warmth and joy she brought into the lives of her family and friends.
Visitation services will be held on August 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Northeast - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 14315 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78233. A rosary will follow at 6:30 PM.
On August 29, 2025, a Mass will take place at St. Leonard's Catholic Church, starting at 11:00 AM, located at 8510 S. Zarzamora, San Antonio, TX 78224. Teresa will be laid to rest at First Memorial Burial Park in Von Ormy, Texas, following the Mass at 12:45 PM.
While Teresa Gonzalez Treviño will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, she will be joining her parents Pedro Cano Gonzalez and Concepcion Lira Gonzalez, as well as her siblings Francisca Gonzalez, Guadalupe Lira, Rebecca Melo and Ricardo Gonzalez. Her legacy of love, laughter and dedication will endure in the hearts of her family and friends.
