Sylvia C. Tenorio, a cherished mother, devoted wife, and beloved member of the San Antonio community, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on June 20, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas, Sylvia's roots ran deep in her hometown, where she cultivated a rich and meaningful life.
Sylvia spent most of her career in retail, renowned for her dedication and hard work during her extensive time at HEB, where she served for 18 years. Her warm spirit and friendly demeanor made her not only a respected employee but also a favorite among customers who frequented the store.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Sylvia's greatest pride came from her family. She was a spectacular mother, known for her unconditional love and unwavering support for her children, Phillip Tenorio, William Marsh, and Jacob Marsh. Sylvia’s role as a mother was central to her identity; she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her children from the earliest years, volunteering at their schools and contributing to their extracurricular activities. Her commitment to their well-being was further exemplified by her cooking for over 150 cadets, ensuring they were well-fed before heading out for drills as a member of the Brackenridge High School ROTC Board.
Sylvia shared a loving partnership with her husband, Colby Marsh, whom she cherished for over 30 years. Together they created a household filled with laughter, love, and an abundance of cherished memories.
She is also survived by her brother, Daniel Carrillo, and sisters, Herminia Garza and Irma Lopez, who will carry her spirit with them always. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Modesto and Ernestina Carrillo, who provided her with the foundation of love and values that she carried throughout her life.
A viewing will be held on January 10, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Northeast - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 14315 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78233, followed by a Rosary that will begin at 3:00 PM on the same day.
Sylvia C. Tenorio's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, particularly through the love and kindness she extended to others. Her contributions to her family, her community, and her profession reflect a life well-lived, one that exemplified the values of love, service, and dedication.
