Stella H Medellin

Stella H. Medellin, 89, passed away on September 19, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on August 27, 1937, in Poteet, Texas.

Stella lived a life full of grace, warmth, and devotion to those she loved. She worked at Big Red Bottling Co. for 25 years, a long and steady chapter in her life that reflected her commitment and strong work ethic. She also enjoyed going to Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino and traveling to Lake Charles, Louisiana, with her husband, Lino Medellin.

She is preceded in death by her father, Felix Herrera; her mother, Maria Garcia Mendiola; her husband, Lino Medellin; her daughters, Mary Ann Tejeda, Delia Deborah Tanguma, and Blanca Garcia; and her son, Mark Medellin.

Stella leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward. She is survived by her sons, Charles Andrew Tejeda and his wife, Cynthia, Michael Anthony Garcia, and Curtis Medellin, Deanna Solis niece. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cassandra Tejeda, Clarissa Tejeda, Charles Tejeda II, Desiree Tanguma, Ramiro Tanguma III and his wife, Jennifer Ramon, Ivanna Medellin Chavez and her husband, Juan Carlos Chaves, Sarah Medellin and her husband, Juan Ruiz, Blanca Garcia, Michael Garcia Jr. and his wife, Brianna Busto, Johnathan Garcia, Jeremy Garcia, and Jacob Garcia. Her family also includes her great-grandchildren, Bella Charles, Elias Charles, Valentine Ruiz, Emerald Eve Tanguma, Jacob Wyatt Tanguma, Katelyn Ybarra, Daniel Herrera, Elliana Herrera, Aaliyah Garcia, Makayla Garcia, and Olivia Garcia. Stella’s love reached across generations, and she will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew her. Her presence, care, and devotion to her family will remain a lasting blessing in their lives.

Visitation will be held on October 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at South - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, 3520 S Flores St, San Antonio, Texas 78204. A Rosary will be held that same evening at 6:30 p.m. at South - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels. Stella will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
