Stanley Washington Ridge, Jr.

Born: September 7, 1948

Died: Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 8:00 am.

Stanley “Stan” was surrounded by his loving son Keeley and grandson Taylor.

He is survived by his son Keeley and his daughter Melissa grand children Bailey, Taylor, Corey, Jordan, Niamh, Harvey and Indiana. Also by his sister Elizabeth and her partner James.

He was born in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania to Stanley Washington Ridge, Sr. and Laurie Salazar Ridge. Stanley Sr. passed away when his son was eight months old due to a work place accident. Therefore, Stan did not have the pleasure of knowing his father. He was raised by his mother Laurie as a single parent with the help of his grandmother.

Stan graduated from Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, Texas. He joined the U. S. Air Force in 1968 and after basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, he was deployed to Upper Heyford Royal Air Force in England.

There he met Susan Bachelor (his wife and the mother of his children). He spent over fifteen years in England and was deployed to Minot, North  Dakota. He returned to England and served four more years before returning to San Antonio to complete his military service at Security Service. He worked various jobs and spent nine years working for WellMed before retiring.

Stan loved sports and old western movies. He was an avid golfer, pool player with various pool groups and was a dart player, which he took up while in England.

His favorite teams were Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees and the San Antonio Spurs. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
