Sherlock H. Mccollum, Jr.

Sherlock H. McCollum was born in Hot Springs Arkansas on July 30, 1930. At a young age his family moved to the Imperial Valley and he graduated from Imperial HS in 1948. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 thru 1953. He was a gunner on a B-29 and flew on several combat missions during the Korean War. After military service he came back and began his career with the IID as a lineman and retired as a substation foreman in 1992. He was a life-long member of the 1033 Local Moose Lodge in El Centro and the VFW. He also volunteered as a little League coach in Imperial for many years. He was a big time LA Rams and Dodgers Fan! After retirement he and his beloved wife Rebecca retired to Boswell Ok. Where they purchased a small ranch to relax and live out the rest of their lives. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.

Services will be held at Restland Cemetery graveside, in Boswell, OK, on Wednesday at 11:00am.
