Sandra Mae Gomes

Sandra Mae Gomes, born on August 2d, 1962 to Walter and Addie Lee Moore, departed this life on December 4th, 2025. Those that knew her would describe her as among the most loving and giving people that they had the privilege of knowing. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a beloved wife to her husband of 30 years, Edward "Ed" Gomes, her stepchildren Sonya (Gordon) and Tony (Vicky), children Zachary and Brianna, grandchildren Darby (Alex), Logan, Anthony Jr, David and Rachael, and great grandchildren Elora, Apollo, Laylani and Delilah. And she loved them all dearly! She was survived by her sister Lois, who is now the sole remaining sibling of 13. 

She grew up in Jay, Florida, a small town with one red light, and graduated from Jay High School. She told her family at a very early age that she would leave as soon as possible and she did. 

She loved her step children as her own and they returned that love. She loved her own children as much as her step children. And that love was passed on to the grandchildren. And then to the great grandchildren. 

Her only hobby was her family. There has never been anything more important to her. 

She was that person that family and friends went to. The shoulder that everyone leaned on. The one that always seemed to make things better. Always willing to take the time to listen and offer sound advice. Always willing to open her home to family, friends and animals in need. If they wanted her husband to do anything they knew to go to Nana and have her ask him because he would do ANYTHING for her. She loved God, her family and reality shows. She will be missed in more ways than can be thought of.
