Romeo D Maldonado was called to be with the Lord on July 7th 2026. Originally born in Falfurias Tx June 21st 1965 to parents David and Yolanda Maldonado, he was a Proud Jersey. In 1986 he met and married the love of his life Cynthia, the following year he joined the Army and was promoted to the rank of Sgt, he was a Proud Sapper 7th infantry 13th engineer battalion and defended our country in operation "Just Cause" in Panama. While in the army his family grew and he became the best Dad to Megan 1988, Romeo Jr (David) 1991, and Christine 1994. Post military life he worked for the United States postal service where he reached the rank of Postmaster and eventually retired at the age of 56.He is preceded in death by his Father David G Maldonado, Grandparents Enrique and Rebecca Garza and Juan and Eva Maldonado, Tios Frederico(Kiko) and Juan Garza, In-laws Juan and Ernestine Rivas, nephew Modesto Rodrigues and granddaughter Natalia Lopez.He is survived by his wife Cynthia Maldonado of San Antonio, daughter Megan & Drew Matos of Odessa, son Romeo Jr and Yoceline Maldonado of Odessa, daughter Christine Maldonado of San Antonio, his pride and joys (grandchildren) Talen and Camille Matos, and Chyna and Bexley Maldonado, his Best friend/brother Omar and sister in law Thelma Maldonado of Edinburg TX, his niece Rebecca and Derrick Canales also of Edinburg, his mother Yolanda Maldonado and Tia Enola Garza of Falfurias TX
