Roger Partrick Garcia Sr., born March 17th, 1964, was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on May 3, 2025. Preceded in death, he joins his parents Jesse C. and Maria A. Garcia, brother Jesse Steve Garcia, and son Roger Jr.
Born in Oceanside, California, Roger's early life was shaped by his father's service in the United States Marine Corps, which led the family to settle in San Antonio, Texas - a city he would call home for the rest of his life.
Roger was a man of quiet strength, unwavering values, and deep love for his family. He met the love of his life, Catalina T. Garcia, in San Antonio, and together they built a life rooted in faith, laughter, and resilience. Roger has been a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8067 for over 25 years; he had a 25-year career with Horizon Foods, where he was a Purchasing Manager.
Roger was the kind of person who made everyone feel at home - always ready with a warm smile, a helping hand, or a wise word. he was immensely proud of his children and is survived by his sons Ernest and partner hannah and Roger III and wife Gabrielle, daughters Victoria and partner Aaron and Christina and fiance Derrick. He also leaves his pride and joy, grandchildren Nicolas, Phoenix, Sofia, Emilia, Piper, and soon-to-be-here Juliana, whom he cherished more than anything, his sister-in-law, Sandy Garcia, and niece Jessica Garcia. Whether it was attending sports events, meeting for lunch, sharing stories from his childhood, or offering steady guidance, Roger's presence was a constant source of support and love.
Roger's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him - in the lessons he taught, the memories he helped create, and the example he set. His kindness, integrity, and devotion to his family will never be forgotten.
A family viewing and visitation service will be held in San Antonio at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels on May 15th from 4 pm-8 pm, followed by mass at St. Helena's church at 110am on May 16th honor his life and legacy.
