Richard William Heines

Richard William Heines, Sr. was reunited with his mother Shirley and his father Richard Lester at the pearly gates of heaven on February 23, 2026.

“Rick” was born in Winter Haven, FL on November 24, 1958. He married Debi Williams on December 8, 1979 and shared 46 years and two children together. He loved cheering the Houston Astros to a win or a Sunday afternoon watching the Master’s. A favorite pastime was annual fishing trips to Key West with his father and brothers.

Rick is survived by his wife Debi, son Richard Jr. (Emily), daughter Stephanie (Chris) Farmer, three granddaughters (Madelyn, Makinley and Morgan), brothers Mark (Tambi) and Greg (Jill), and five nieces and nephews: Houston, Harrison, Eric, Lauren and Brian. Rick was a cherished husband, father, brother, and proud grandfather to his three granddaughters, who brought him tremendous joy. He treasured spending time with his family and especially loved cheering on his children from the sidelines as they participated in sports throughout their lives. Whether attending games, celebrating victories, or offering encouragement, he was always one of their biggest supporters. Rick created countless memories that will be treasured forever. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his love, endearing quirks, and legacy will live on in their hearts.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on June 28, 2026 at Compassion Church located at 2862 Thousand Oaks Dr #4193, San Antonio, Texas. This gathering will be a time for friends and family to come together sharing stories and smiles in remembrance of a man who is missed by many.
