Richard Garcia

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Garcia, a 58-year-old beloved son, brother, father, and friend. Born on December 27, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas, Richard brought a light into this world that warmed the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. On February 9, 2026, he left us too soon, but his spirit will forever resonate within our lives.

Richard was known for his fun, loving, and kind nature. He was a source of joy and comfort to his family and friends, always ready to share a laugh or lend a helping hand. Those who knew him will remember his infectious smile, his generous heart, and the countless ways he made life brighter.

He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Consuelo Espinoza, and his grandson, Isiah. Richard was a devoted brother to Rudy Jr., Christopher, Nicholas, and his sister Laura, who shared many treasured memories of laughter and warmth with him. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and partner. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Rudy and Janie Garcia.

A visitation will be held on February 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at South - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels located at 3520 S Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78204. This will be followed by a heartfelt Celebration of Life from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, where we invite all who loved Richard to come together and honor him.

As we gather in remembrance of Richard, we celebrate the love he brought into our lives, the memories we created, and the impact he had on each one of us. While he may no longer walk among us, his legacy of love and kindness will carry on through his family and friends, serving as a reminder of the beautiful person he was.
