Raul P. Cruz Sr. born April 20, 1921 in Jourdanton, Texas passed from this life July 11, 2013 at the age of 92. Mr. Cruz was preceded in death by Encarnacion A. Cruz, and Guadalupe Cruz; sons, Raul Cruz Jr., and Ross N. Cruz. Raul is survived by daughters, Raquel Puente (A.J.), Nellie Garces (Juan), Maria E. Cruz (Robert); son Johnny R. Cruz (Jovita); and brother Revlo Cruz; 15 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Mr. Cruz was awarded the Purple Heart during his service in World War II.
