In Loving Memory of Raul Gonzales
May 5, 1988 – October 10, 2025
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Raul Gonzales, age 37, on October 10, 2025. Raul was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence filled every room with laughter, kindness, and love.
Born on May 5, 1988, to Emelia and Ruben Gonzales, Raul grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and the strong bond of family that shaped the man he became. He is now reunited with his parents in eternal peace.
Raul is lovingly survived by his beloved wife, Gracie F. Gonzales, and their three beautiful children — Miguel Jesus, Amayah Ruth, and Aurora Hope — who were the light of his life and the center of his world. His legacy of love, faith, and humor will live on through them.
He is also survived by his loving siblings — Yvette Gonzalez, Sarah Campos, Ruben Gonzales Jr., Valerie Olivares, Federico Gonzales, and Maricella Oballe — along with numerous family members and friends who were blessed by his generous heart and joyful spirit.
Raul found peace and joy in life’s simple pleasures — strolling along the Mission Trails, showing love and care for his cats and all animals, enjoying movies and music, and spending time surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of his family. A proud Texan, he had a deep appreciation for Texas history and was a devoted fan of the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. His laughter was contagious, his heart generous, and his spirit steadfast.
Those who knew Raul will remember his larger-than-life presence, kind and gentle soul, and his unwavering faith in God, which guided him through life’s joys and challenges. He cared deeply for everyone around him — always ready with a word of encouragement, a helping hand, or a warm smile. Now, as he rests in heaven, we take comfort in knowing that the same loving heart that cared for so many continues to watch over us all.
Though his time with us was far too short, his love will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know him.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
