Ramona "Mona" Fonseca

Ramona Fonseca, passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on August 28, 1957, Ramona dedicated her life to spreading joy through her culinary creations and the warmth of her vibrant personality.

As a baker, Ramona's passion for her craft was evident in every recipe she perfected. She had an innate ability to transform simple ingredients into delightful treats that brought smiles to the faces of all who tasted her work. Her contributions to her community were immeasurable as she shared her talents generously, making special occasions even more memorable.

Ramona cherished her family and friends deeply. She is survived by her son, Luis Raymond Quintero III, and his spouse, Catherine; her daughter, Cassandra Ann Quintero; her mother, Andrea Romero Valdez; and her treasured grandchildren, Malachi J. Anguiano, Zachariah R. Quintero, and Josiah M. Quintero. Ramona was also a loving sister to Adela (Robert) Sanchez, Lucia F. "Lucy" Mosqueda, Maria Elena "Mary" Rodriguez, Josefa "Josie" Pachecano, Rudy (Celia) Valdez, and Joe (Lisa) Valdez. Her family was her pride and joy, and she took immense pleasure in being a guiding presence as the cool aunt, known for her humor, zest for life, and connection to the joy around her.

Ramona had a vibrant spirit, extending her love of music, dancing, and singing to all aspects of her life. She was a jokester at heart, always eager to be in the middle of the action, embodying a life lived fully and joyously.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Ramona's life at a visitation on May 31, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at South - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 3520 S Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78204.

Ramona Fonseca will be remembered for the joy, laughter, and love she brought into the lives of so many. Her legacy of sweetness-both in her baking and her spirit-will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
