Minerva “Mine” Martinez was born on November 11, 1963, in Laredo, Texas. Mine was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend.
Mine is survived by her husband, Jesus Martinez; her daughters, Kayla Stevenson and husband Montey Stevenson, and Jessica Hadley and husband Eric Hadley; and her cherished grandchildren, Sydney Stevenson, Kyndell Stevenson, and Malcolm Hadley, who brought so much love and joy into her life.
She is also survived by her mother, Yolanda Salinas; her brothers, Alberto Salinas and Roberto Salinas; her sister, Josie Salinas; her nephew and godson, Ernesto Salinas Jr.; as well as extended family and loved ones who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Mine was preceded in death by her father, Alberto Salinas Sr., her sister, Magdalena Salinas, and her brother, Ernesto Salinas Sr.
To those who knew and loved her, Mine was so much more than the names and dates that can be written on a page.
She was a woman with a personality all her own strong willed, spirited, and always true to herself. She loved a good gamble and never shied away from taking a chance. A die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, she proudly cheered for her team through every win, every loss, and everything in between.
But perhaps her greatest joy was being a grandmother. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment she shared with them. They brought her laughter, happiness, and countless memories that will live on in their hearts forever. She loved deeply, lived boldly, and left her own special mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Though her absence leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully describe, Mine’s memory will live on in the stories told, the traditions carried forward, the laughter remembered, and the love she gave so freely.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
