Melissa Garcia Charo

Melissa Garcia Charo, a vibrant spirit born on November 15, 1982, in San Antonio, left this world on December 4, 2024. She was known to many as the life of the party, radiating joy and warmth wherever she went. Melissa was a loving and caring individual, whose culinary skills earned her recognition as the best cook among family and friends.

Throughout her life, Melissa cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her beloved husband, David Charo Jr., and their five children: Britney Nicole, Elijah, Adrianna Desirae, Alexus Elizabeth, and her father, Pablino Ortiz who will continue to carry her memories in their hearts. Melissa's siblings, Paul Garcia, Daniel Ortiz, and Timothy Garcia, along with her aunt Maryann and uncle Chris Garcia, also mourn her passing.

Melissa's legacy is further illustrated by the love and remembrance held by her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremiah Charo, and her parents, Elizabeth Garcia.

Friends and family are invited to honor Melissa's life during visitation on December 18, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South, located at 3520 South Flores Street, San Antonio, TX 78204. A prayer service will take place that same day from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The graveside service will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. III, beginning at 2:30 PM.

Melissa Garcia Charo will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
