Mary Jane Salazar

MaryJane Salazar, 59, of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully Wednesday evening Jan. 17th surrounded by her loved ones. She was loved by many but her greatest roles were Wife, Mom, Tía and beloved Grandma.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Delia Alvarado and her son Nicholaus Rene Salazar. She is survived by her brother Joe Alvarado, loving husband of Armando Salazar, her son Zachary Alexander Salazar and his daughter Delilah Jane Salazar, her daughter Alexandra Renee Vazquez (Valente) and their children: Noah Rene Vazquez, Isaiah Vazquez, Aliyah Vazquez, Israel Vazquez, Camila Vazquez and numerous nieces and nephews.

MaryJane graduated from Burbank High School in '82 and went on to work at University Health. She was always known her loving and nurturing nature and her creativity in hobbies such as gardening and journaling. She was also a proud dog mom to two Shih-tzus, Wednesday and Oreo, that were very close to her heart. She leaves behind a legacy of love, fun memories, and a life lived being authentic to herself. She will be forever missed but is reunited with her beloved son, Nick, in heaven.

A service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 23rd, 2024 from 6 - 8pm at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels.
