Mary Irene Maciel

Mary Irene Maciel, born on December 13, 1961, and passed away on December 10 , 2024 at the age 62. Throughout her life, she developed a profound love for cats, caring for as many as ninety-six at one time, showing her compassionate heart. Mary Irene found great joy dancing and singing, particularly delighting her family with her performances during karaoke nights. Her ability to make everyone laugh was a gift that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her loving siblings: Janie Salazar, Gloria Maciel, Estella Gonzales, Dorothy Maciel, Gilbert Maciel, Hector Maciel, and Juan Maciel. They filled her life with love and support, along with many other extended family members who will hold her memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pete and Maria Maciel; her wife of over 25 years, Refugia Lara; and her brother, Jesse Y. Maciel, who recently passed away. The impact Mary had on her family and friends will forever resonate in their lives, as they carry forward the light she brought into the world.
