Margarito Martinez

Margarito Martinez, a beloved husband, father, brother, friend, passed away on February 20, 2024. Margarito was born on September 19, 1955, and throughout his life, touched the hearts of many with his kindness, warmth, and sense of humor. He will always be remembered for his passion for fishing, golfing, and camping; activities that brought him immense joy and allowed him to create lasting memories with those he held dear. In celebrating his life, we fondly recall the moments shared with Margarito. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cipriano and Margarita Martinez, as well as his brothers Leo and Cipriano Martinez, Jr. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them. Margarito leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his surviving family: his devoted wife of forty years, Mary Diana Resendez Martinez; loving son Mark Anthony Martinez; caring daughter Melina Ann Martinez; supportive brothers Joe, Juan, and Mario Martinez; caring sisters Grace Garza, Mary Cavazos, and Margaret Mendez; as well as his adoring grandchild Aidan Palacios Martinez. A visitation to honor Margarito's life will take place on March 1st from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South in San Antonio. A Prayer Service will follow from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. In this time of grief, let us reflect on the joy Margarito brought into our lives and find solace in the memories we shared with him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
