It is with deep regret and great joy that we announce the passing of our sister-in-law, Lucia Alvarado Macias, regretting that she is gone, but with great joy that she is no longer suffering. She was 88 years old, previously of Puebla, Puebla, Mexico. For the past 48 years she has been a resident of San Antonio. She died Saturday, September 19, 2015. She was married for 48 years to Felipe C. Macias of Taft, Texas who predeceased her. As they were not blessed with children, she is survived by her brother-in-law, Jesus C. Macias and wife Angie, nephews; Jesus Mateo, Ignacio Francisco and Vincent Gabriel Macias, great nieces; Jessica Evarista, Catarina Macias and Marina Acevedo and great-great nephew, Clint Lee Casas, Jr. Special Thanks to the staff and administration of Normandy Terrace and Harbor Hospice for all their care and attention of Lucia as well as Felipe for the past 5 years. We would also like to commend Reverend McKesson for his weekly visits and prayers for Lucia. Deacon Jose O’Compo of St. Gerard’s Church will be offering the rosary Friday, September 25, 2015 at 6:45P.M. at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels.
