Lona Mae Garcia

Lona Mae Garcia, 70, passed in peace on Saturday night, December 10, 2016, at Gentiva Hospice in San Antonio, with family by her side, after suffering a stroke. Lona Mae was born August 29, 1946, in Harlingen, TX. She was married to her late husband Santos Antero Garcia on March 25, 1969.

She is survived by her 2 sisters, Edna Jay Williams, and Jeanette Stuart; her 7 children, Deborah Gene Guzman, Laurie Jones (Michael), Sandra Garcia, James Gregory Antero, Anthony Gerald, Cathleen Ann Law (Arron), and Eric Cecil Steven; and her 8 grandchildren, Karen, John, Lauren, James, Brandon, Mark, Cody, and Landon.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Alvin, and Ima Gene Williams, as well as her sister Gloria Gene.

The family asks that if you wish to send flowers, please consider sending a holiday arrangement, or red poinsettias, as they were Lona Mae's favorite this time of year.
