Leonor G. Gutierrez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Leonor G. Gutierrez, who left this world on August 25, 2025. Born on September 23, 1942, in San Antonio, Leonor was a shining light to all who knew her, embodying grace, love, and the spirit of joy throughout her life.

Leonor's passions included shopping and  visiting the many thrift stores around town.  She loved going to play the slot machines and listening to music, particularly during the Christmas season, when her heart would resonate with the joy and warmth of the holidays. It was during these times that Leonor’s laughter and infectious spirit brought together family and friends, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.

Though she faced the profound loss of her dear husband, Saragoza Gutierrez, who predeceased her, Leonor remained a beacon of strength and comfort to her family. Her proudest accomplishments were her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren all of whom she adored fiercely. They were her greatest joy, as she poured her love and wisdom into their lives, instilling values that will guide them as they navigate their own journeys.

Leonor leaves behind a loving family, including her cherished children: Sylvia, Laura, Gilbert, Rudy and Ricky. She also is survived by her beloved sisters who shared countless laughs and moments of support throughout their lives.

In honoring the memory of Leonor G. Gutierrez, her family invites friends and loved ones to gather for visitation on August 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at South - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 3520 S Flores St, San Antonio, TX. A special service will follow from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. 

Leonor's legacy will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who loved her. Her spirit, unyielding love, and joyful laughter will be greatly missed but will live on through her family, who will carry her memory forward with pride and love. At this time the family is requesting prayers and support through this difficult time.
