Laura Michelle Vitopil Greenaway, a beacon of strength, love, and unwavering loyalty, passed away on April 25, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on July 24, 1968, in Pearsall, Laura’s life was a remarkable journey marked by her deeply compassionate heart, resilience, and the joyful spirit she so generously shared with all who knew her.

Laura was known not only for her humble demeanor but also for her endearing goofiness and delightfully corny jokes that could light up the darkest of rooms. Her fearless approach to life, coupled with an unyielding nurturing nature, made her the foundation for those fortunate enough to be part of her world. She was selfless, always putting the needs of others before her own, embodying the essence of love and care in every role she embraced.

A devoted wife for 20 years, Laura shared her life with her beloved husband, Timothy. Together, they built a family filled with love and warmth. Laura was a loving mother to her children Dylan and Nicole (Serina), who were the center of her universe and the proudest recipients of her nurturing heart. The strength of her family ties extended beyond her immediate household, as she was also a treasured sister to Gina, Anthony, George “Gabby” (Gayle Lynn), Gregory “Dean,” and Cindy. Her affection and guidance extended lovingly to a large and vibrant family of nieces and nephews; Jarred, Tyler, Hunter, Logan, Ginger, Kody, Kolton, Olivia, Bellamy, and Jade; each carrying forward a piece of her loving spirit.

Laura’s dedication was not confined to her own children and siblings; she was a beloved daughter to her late parents, Beth and Louis “LJ” Jr., whose memories she held dear. Her bond with her in-laws, Brian and Sandra, was one of mutual respect and deep affection, further enriching the familial tapestry she so cherished. Among extended family, she fondly remembered her late aunt Dorothy, whose spirit lived on in her stories and heart.

Those who had the honor to know Laura witnessed her compassion in every act; a testament to her selfless nature and her role as a caretaker and friend. She was fearless in facing life’s challenges, resilient in the face of adversity, and ever nurturing with a heart that embraced all who sought her love. Her humility did not diminish her impact; rather, it magnified the genuine warmth she exuded so effortlessly.

To celebrate Laura’s life, a visitation will be held on May 8, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 14315 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78233. A prayer service will follow at 6:30 PM, with Serina closing the services with a song of remembrance.

Laura Michelle Vitopil Greenaway leaves behind a legacy not only of familial devotion but a spirit that touched countless lives with kindness, laughter, and enduring love.
