Kenneth William Koehne, 69, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on October 25, 2025, from complications due to pneumonia. Born June 6, 1956, in Bryan, Texas, Kenneth was the beloved son of Clarence and Dorothy and cherished husband of Myla.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Koehne, brother-in-law Robert Morales and mother-in-law, Gloria Arnold. Kenneth is survived by his wife Myla, mother Dorothy, sister Karen, brother Karl (Debbie), father-in-law Nolan, sister-in-law Hattie, nieces Kara (Damian), Ashley (Paul), Isabella, Maddie, and nephew Elijah, as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kenneth, known affectionately for his sassy, feisty personality and sense of humor, brought laughter and light to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. A proud graduate of John Jay High School, class of 1975, he went on to build a fulfilling career that reflected both his work ethic and his dedication to excellence. Kenneth worked at Datapoint for many years, before joining UT Health San Antonio, where he worked first in Inventory Control and then in Computing Resources. He retired in 2018 after 29 years of service.
While at UT Health SA, Kenneth met Myla in 2001, and they were married in 2004. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, smoking cigars and drinking Bill Miller’s iced tea on his porch and chatting with the neighbors. He also loved watching The Andy Griffith Show, as well as playing the lotto. He was quite lucky through the years winning many contests. He won a truck, a grocery shopping spree, a giant Easter basket which he gave to his niece Kara and a trip to Hawaii, which he gave to his parents to enjoy. Kenneth was a great singer who loved singing Elvis’s songs.
Services will be held on Thursday November 13, 2025, at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, 6907 Kitchener, San Antonio, Texas 78240. Visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M., Rosary will begin at 10:00 A.M, with Mass starting at 10:30 A.M. Kenneth will be cremated privately.
Kenneth will be dearly missed by all that knew him and loved him. The family asks everyone to wear blue in honor of Kenneth’s favorite color.
