Judy Ann Foerster, beloved mother, sister, aunt, friend, and caretaker, passed away at home on October 7, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on December 7, 1956, in Seguin, Texas, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Foerster, as well as her sister Gertie and brother Fritz.
She is survived by her sons, Larry and Robert Foerster; her three siblings, Julius, Pauline, and Richard; along with many nieces, nephews, and others she helped raise and nurture during her time as a daycare provider.
Judy will be remembered as a true, one-of-a-kind individual with so much love to give. Soon after starting a family, Judy began to operate her own in-home daycare. Along with raising two boys of her own, she was a caretaker for dozens of kids over 20+ years. Many of those kids considered her a second mom. Her old, multi-colored 1979 station wagon was easily recognizable throughout the neighborhood, and everyone knew it was “Ms. Judy.”
After giving up her daycare, Judy worked at Target for several years and the Converse Animal Shelter for several more before retiring. A lover of animals, she had multiple ferrets and dogs, and loved lions and horses.
Judy was also an exceptional gardener, homemaker, crafter, and baker. Her zucchini bread was legendary. Her enchiladas, chicken and dumplings, barbecue, and Thanksgiving dinners were divine. She was also an avid fan of anything related to the Titanic, nutcrackers, George Strait, Sam Elliott, Abbott and Costello, and old monster movies, and she was responsible for drinking an ocean of Dr. Pepper.
Judy Foerster loved her family, both related by blood and extended. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. May she rest in peace.
