Juana Lira Vegerano, born on March 24, 1948 in Saltillo, Mexico, passed away on April 4, 2026. Juana was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Manuela Lira; her sisters, Francisca Rodriguez Lira and Victoria Lira; and her brothers, Reymundo Lira and Benito Lira. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Carmelo Vegerano; her daughter, Yanira V. Cruz; and her son, Luis C. Vegerano, along with his wife, Sarah Vegerano. Juana’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Evelyn P. Cruz, Zarek H. Cruz, Carmela D. Vegerano, Lyndon H. Vegerano, and Ofelia M. Vegerano. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as devoted neighbors and friends.
Juana will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by all who knew her. Her spirit and kindness will continue to inspire her loved ones for generations to come.
