Juana Collado Jimenez

March 21, 1930 — March 30, 2024

Juana Collado Jimenez, a vibrant soul who lit up the dance floor with her love for Salsa Music, has taken her final bow on this earthly stage. Born in Vera Cruz, Mexico in 1930, Juana's journey came to a peaceful close in San Antonio, Texas.

Those who knew Juana will remember her as a friendly and loving individual who embraced life with open arms. Her passion for dancing was only matched by her ability to bring joy to those around her. Juana had a remarkable gift of being honest, sometimes even bluntly so, yet it was this very honesty that endeared her to many.

In the tapestry of Juana's life, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Homero Jimenez, as well as her father Francisco Collado and mother Maria Luisa Aguirre Collado. Although they have bid their final farewells in this world, their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Juana leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by her surviving family and friends. She is survived by her son Omar Jimenez; daughters Aleida Montellano and Luisa Cortazar; daughter Reyna Jimenez; sister Mercedes Garduño; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchild. Their lives have been enriched by Juana's presence, and though they now mourn her loss, they find solace in the beautiful moments shared together.

As we reflect on the life of Juana Collado Jimenez, let us celebrate the vivacious spirit she embodied and the love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory continue to inspire us to embrace life fully and dance through it with grace and joy just as she did.
