Juan Trevino Rivas Jr.

Juan Trevino Rivas, Jr., 76, of Sinton, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2025. He was born October 5, 1948, in Sinton, Texas, to the late Juan M. Rivas, Sr., and Ernestine T. Rivas. Juan Jr. worked for the federal government for over 46 years in Texas and Washington, DC. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was always a friendly person who was willing to talk to anyone and everyone. He enjoyed dancing in his early days and later music and talking on the phone with family and friends. He was of the Catholic faith. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Rivas; sister, Nora Jean Lopez; and nephew, Modesto R. Rodriguez.

Survivors include his wife, Maria G. Rivas; his mother, Ernestine T. Rivas; and his siblings in the following order, Janie Rivas, Gilbert Rivas, Sr., Lee Rivas, Sr., Angie Lopez, Diana Rodriguez, Sofia Molinar, Mary Francis Marmolejo, Cynthia Ann Maldonado, Esmeralda Wilhelm, Danny Rivas and Gilbert V. Rivas, Jr. who is a nephew but treated as a brother.
