John Christopher Mills

John Christopher Mills was born on July 22, 1958 in Kingsville, TX to Joseph E. Mills and Mary H. Mills (Wright). He joined his parents, younger brother Terry, and wife Gracie in heaven on October 18, 2026. He is survived by his daughter Mary, sister Susan, brother Joe, sister-in-law Kathy, nephews, a son-in-law, and his Quincy cousins, all of whom miss him dearly.

John was a wonderful father, brother and loyal friend who always lent a hand to those needing help (or home repairs). He was a man of his word and always just a phone call away to anyone who asked. He was very humble and never took as much credit as he deserved for his helping spirit.

John was a simple guy who loved animals, blues music and a good steak. Over the course of his life, he made many close friends in the neighborhood and through his work in construction. Many of his friendships were enduring and life-long, a testament to his reliability and kindness. He loved to laugh and was always curious to learn something new.

A memorial service honoring John’s life will be held on Saturday, November 21 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapel at 14315 Judson Rd.
