Northeast - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels
1:00 - 4:00 pm (Central time)
John O. Hogan Jr., born on December 3, 1972, in Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away on May 27, 2026, in Houston, Texas. He was a man whose very presence brought warmth and light to those fortunate enough to know him. John was truly a jack of all trades, having held many jobs throughout his life, but his proudest accomplishments were not measured by titles or positions—they were being a devoted father, a caring brother, and a loyal friend.
Those who knew John remember a man who left a smile on everyone’s face. He had a unique ability to light up any room he entered, filling it with joy and laughter. Loved by many, John’s personality was as vibrant as his spirit, and his love for travel reflected his eagerness to embrace life’s adventures.
John is survived by his beloved children: Autumn, Alleigh, and Adan, who carry his legacy forward with pride and love. He was so proud of his children, and they were the one true love of his life. He was beyond excited when his oldest daughter, Autumn, made him a grandfather with the birth of his beautiful grandson, Greyson. He was beaming with joy as he announced Alleigh's upcoming graduation in June. And he was beyond proud when his son, Adan, joined the Army, finished basic training, and was stationed in Korea, serving our country. He also leaves behind cherished siblings, Danny, Robert, Derick, Michael, Steve, his baby sister, Catherine, and his youngest brother, Johnny Ray, who shared in the journey of life beside him.
John is dancing with those who passed before him. He is now with his grandmother, Lula; his mother, Evelyn; and his father, John Sr., whose memories he cherished. He also joins Frank Sr., Margaret, and his brother Frank Jr., who played a vital role in raising John. He has also been reunited with his infant son, Diante.
John’s life will be honored during a visitation held on June 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapel - Northeast Chapel, located at 14315 Judson Road in San Antonio, Texas. It will be a time for loved ones and friends to gather, share stories, and remember a man who touched so many hearts. Additional celebrations of life will be announced at a later time.
When reflecting on John's life, we celebrate a spirit that embraced every moment, a man who devoted his heart to family, and a legacy etched in the smiles and memories of all those he loved. His journey, though cut short, remains forever alive in the hearts of all he touched.
