Jesus "Chacho" Silva

Jesus "Chacho" Silva, a cherished resident of San Antonio, Texas, was born on December 25, 1949, and he left this world on May 31, 2025. A man of warmth and kindness, Jesus dedicated his life to creating joyful moments for those around him, enriching the lives of many with his exquisite smile and vibrant spirit.

From a young age, Jesus embraced the heart and soul of San Antonio, where he was born and raised. He carried the essence of his beloved city with him, forming deep roots that served as the foundation for a life full of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Jesus had a profound love for sports, and he was a passionate supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. His enthusiasm for these teams was infectious, often igniting spirited debates and joyful gatherings among family and friends. His love for Tejano music often filled the air, and he would easily be found dancing to the rhythms that reflected his rich cultural heritage. 

He shared a special connection with his sister, Evangelina Longoria, and treasured the time spent with his numerous nieces and nephews, who adored their uncle. 

Jesus is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Cresencio G. Silva and Lidia F. Flores, as well as his siblings Beatrice and Cresencio Jr. Their memories remain engrained in him, shaping the compassionate and loving person he became over the years. Though they may no longer walk among us, their spirits linger, celebrating the legacy of love they instilled in their son and brother.

A memorial gathering to honor his incredible life will take place on June 14, 2025, at South - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels in San Antonio. Family and friends are invited to join together, sharing their stories, rejoicing in the beautiful moments spent with Jesus, and keeping his spirit alive through laughter and memories.

As we gather to remember Jesus Gilberto Silva, we celebrate a life rich with love, passion, and unwavering devotion to family, community, and cultural heritage. His light will forever shine brightly in our hearts, and his legacy will continue through the stories we share and the love we carry forward.
