Le sobreviven su esposa Margarita Ortiz y sus hijos Jesús Rodríguez, Edith Ruiz y Deyonira Margarita. También le sobreviven sus hermanos Cruz Rodríguez y José Rodríguez, y su hermana Blanca Solís. Jesús tuvo dos nietos, junto con muchas sobrinas y sobrinos amados.
