James Michael Battersby

Jim Battersby was born September 8, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father James A. Battersby and his mother Pearl N. Battersby. Jim attended the Catholic school system and graduated from Winston Churchill High School. Jim served four years in the U.S. Navy. He then graduated from the University of Texas San Antonio. He married his bride Judy Battersby who passed away in 2017.
Jim worked for the Discover Texas Association, the Kingsville Conv. & Visitors Bureau and the City of Live Oak Civic/Convention Center. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen, her husband Joseph Baltazar and two great grandsons, Jonas and Mason Baltazar. Burial will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, January 16, 2025 at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to a Veterans association of your choice.
