Ian Michael James Perez born February 19, 2002 and was sent to his eternal resting place far too soon on October 25, 2025. He was the beloved son of Michael James Perez and Cristina Nanez whom loved him dearly.
Ian will forever be remembered by his smile, infectious laugh, and kind and loving heart. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. We ask that you remember him not for the way he passed but for the special way he left footprints on your heart. Each in his own very special and unique way.
Ian is survived by his loving parents Michael and Cristina, his sister Clara, and brothers Steven Adam and Joseph Elias. Ian was the cherished grandson of Erlinda Perez, Norma, and Marco Avila. Ian also leaves behind his Aunt Krystal, Uncle Chris, and Aunt Nicole. Also left behind are his cousins Avery, Sophia, Logan and Charlotte along with a large extended family.
As a young adult Ian relocated to Austin, TX where he was introduced to an amazing mentor and guardian Gavino Fernandez Jr. Gavino would shortly after assist Ian with becoming a member of LULAC and East Austin Lions club. This is where he began his journey in civil service and assisting at the early voting polls and other charitable and political events throughout the city of Austin. Ian had big dreams of becoming a welder and building a solid foundation so he could love and care for everyone he loved and held close to his heart. God had other plans for him though.
As the time has come for us to say "See you later," I hope we will take comfort in the cherished memories we all made with him and in knowing we will be reunited with him again and we will be able to see that beautiful smile, one day when it is our time.
