Hilda Colon

November 9, 1933 — May 23, 2022

Hilda Colón Rosario, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022. She was born November 9th, 1933 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Pablo and Pilar Rosario.
Hilda married Gil Luis Colón, who preceded her in death in 1999. She leaves behind her three children, Gil Colón, Annie Colón, and Freddie Colón; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Hilda loved everything and everyone; she also loved and supported her children unconditionally. Hilda could be seen crisscrossing the town, driving back and forth to practices and games. She loved baseball and would always check out the stats. Hilda loved gardening and BINGO!
Hilda's husband, Gil, was a career Army Soldier and while he deployed frequently, she held down the household while raising three children and working a full-time job. She was a problem solver and lovingly assisted in resolving issues for family and friends. Hilda was a fiercely independent and a proud soul. She always stood firmly for her beliefs and always aided and defended those in need. Hilda was extremely generous; be it for her family, friends, or a homeless individual, she gave from her heart.
The impact Hilda had on family and friends is truly unmeasurable without question. Hilda will be deeply missed.
