Hector Manuel Roman
March 1, 1944 — November 10, 2015
1SG Hector M. Roman, Sr. US Army, retired passed on November 10, 2015 at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sylvia L. Roman; children: Hector Manuel Roman Jr (Yvonne), Dora V. Gutierrez (Jesse), Viola De La Rosa (Rene); sister: Gladys Roman. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Hector grew up in Puerto Rico where he enlisted and proudly served in the Army for 21 years, 7 months and 28 days. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 3:00 – 8:00 PM with a Rosary to begin at 6:30 PM at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels (Judson Rd). A funeral procession will depart on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 12:00 PM for a 12:30 PM Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
