Guadalupe Alvarado

Guadalupe Alvarado, born on January 7, 1934, departed this world on June 18, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. She lived a life defined by hard work and dedication, serving as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and making a significant impact on those she cared for. Her honesty and commitment to her profession were evident in every role she undertook, reflecting her unwavering spirit and compassion.

In her personal life, Guadalupe cherished the simple pleasures, finding joy in hobbies such as crochet, which brought her both relaxation and a sense of achievement. She will be fondly remembered for her engaging personality, hardworking nature, and dedication to her family and profession.

Guadalupe leaves behind a loving family who remembers her with great affection. She is survived by her son, Gilbert (Gloria), and daughter, Dora. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit: Gilbert Jr., Suzzanne, Candice, Angela Marie, John Anthony, Crystal, Nicole, Christiana, Ernest Jr., Michael, Brian, Starla, Robert, and Amber.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Celedonio and Expectation Zamarrippa, and her sons: Manuel Solis, Jesse Benavidez Jr., Ernest Benavidez, and Jody Benavidez. Additionally, she is reunited in spirit with her brother, Luis Zamarrippa.

The community is invited to honor Guadalupe's memory during a visitation on June 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 3520 S Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78204. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 AM, concluding with a final farewell at 12:00 PM.

Although she has left this world, Guadalupe Alvarado’s legacy of love, dedication, and resilience will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, making a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know her.
