Gregory James Peyer

May 14, 1979 — April 17, 2025

San Antonio

Gregory James Peyer, age 45, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. A devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, Gregory’s warmth, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Born in Walnut Creek, California, Gregory developed a deep love for music early in life, inspired by his late mother, Patricia. He began playing guitar at age 11, and went on to write music that reflected his generous spirit. At 19, he met Antainette, the love of his life, and they married in 2011. Together they built a beautiful life, raising two daughters, Analise (7) and Azalea (2), whom he adored.

Gregory was known for his genuine kindness, compassion, and love for the outdoors. His happiest moments were spent with his family, hiking in nature, and sharing his music with others.

Gregory is survived by his beloved wife, Antainette Peyer; daughters, Analise and Azalea; father, Eduard Peyer; brother, Anthony Peyer; and sister, Francesca Slattery. He is also lovingly remembered by his father-in-law, Alexander R. Yanez; mother-in-law, Mary J. Yanez; brothers-in-law, Alexander Yanez, Adrian Yanez, and Stephen Slattery; and sisters-in-law, Valerie Peyer, Elizabeth Yanez, and Lydia Yanez. Gregory was a proud uncle to his nieces, Ariana Yanez, Eleanor Slattery, and Siena Slattery, and his nephew, Alejandro Yanez.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Patricia Peyer.
