Geneva Mae Hodges

Geneva Mae Hodges, age 91, of Cibolo, Texas passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026. Geneva was born February 26, 1935 in Duffy, West Virginia.

Geneva Riffle, a West Virginia farm girl, married an Arkansas farm boy, James Hodges, right after she graduated from High School. They had three children, and were married and together for 67 years, until James' passing in 2020. They were both Christians and brought up their children in the Christian faith.

Geneva was a loving wife and mother. She was a homemaker who cared for and was devoted to her family and her home, her friends, and her Jesus. Her love and faith and duty never waned. Throughout the years of her life, she enjoyed cooking, crafting and sewing; shopping, bowling and square dancing; game shows, playing cards and word search puzzles; having company, visiting people; attending church and fellowshipping. Geneva was loved and loving. She will be truly missed. But not for long. We will see her one day soon, in our forever home together, a place called Heaven.

Survived by: children, Kathy Louise Holden (Randy), James Michael Hodges (Kim), Brenda Joyce Gibson (Roland); grandchildren, Jeremy Holden, Beth Keller, TJ Chaffee, and Christopher Hodges; great-grandchildren, Jacob Keller, Jordan Keller, Colton Chaffee, Jackson Chaffee, Cameron Hodges, Brianna Holden, and Sophia Holden; siblings, Doris Jean Smith and Neal Riffle.

Preceded in death by: James Hodges (husband), Erry Riffle (father)Reba Riffle (mother), and Justine Cutlip (sister).
