Genette "Michelle" Rose, born on October 25, 1958, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, surrounded by love and the enduring warmth of her family’s memories. She was 66 years old.
Michelle was a devoted mother, beloved wife, cherished grandmother, and dear sister. Her vibrant spirit, unwavering love, and kind heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Rose, her mother, Joyce Thomas, and her father, George Thomas.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion in the hearts of her daughters, Kathleen Janysek (married to Daryl Janysek) and Amanda Rose. Her memory will also be lovingly carried on by her grandchildren, Alexis Janysek and Rayland Picard, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Michelle is also survived by her sister, Debra Thomas, and brother, Richard Thomas, as well as numerous other cherished family members who will deeply miss her.
A creative soul, Michelle had a passion for reading, crafting, and all things turtles. She was a woman of quiet strength and endless generosity, always offering a listening ear, a warm smile, or a thoughtful gesture. To those who knew her, she was simply amazing.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in every story shared, every book read, and every turtle spotted in her memory. She will forever be remembered for the love she gave, the wisdom she shared, and the light she brought into the world.
A celebration of her life will be held privately by her family. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in her honor, just as Genette would have done.
