He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved being surrounded by his family.

Francisco Viera, affectionately known to his family as Pancho, or Frank, was born on June 4,1952, in San Antonio, Texas, to Emilio and Aurora Viera. Frank went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of faith, family, strength, and love.

Frank was a man who believed strongly in the values that mattered most: put Jesus first, work hard, stand up for yourself, give 100% in everything you do, and above all, keep the family united.

He was a hard-working man who believed in earning what you had and never expecting anything to be handed to you. He believed that if you wanted something in life, you worked for it. He was not one to back down easily and believed in standing your ground, while also teaching that you should never be the person to start trouble.

His faith was an important part of his life. Frank believed in putting Jesus first and trusted in God's guidance. His faith and the lessons he shared will continue to live on through his family. But above everything else, Frank loved his family!

His love of sports created many memories that his family will continue to cherish.

He believed deeply in family unity and treasured the time he spent with those he loved. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved being surrounded by his family. Some of his favorite memories were the simple moments - going out to eat together, watching his favorite shows, playing ball, watching his children and grandchildren participate in all sports but especially, volleyball and simply enjoying time with the people he loved.

Frank also had a special love for sports. He enjoyed playing football and softball in his younger years then later in life he loved coming to all his daughters and granddaughters volleyball games. As well as, all his sons and grandsons football, basketball and baseball games. He was a proud Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed watching his team! His love of sports created many memories that his family will continue to cherish. He loved his grass, he loved cutting grass at the ranch and on Redbrook, that was one of his great joys!

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Emilio and Aurora Viera, and his brothers Emilio Viera Jr., Felipe Viera, Pio Viera, and Juan Viera.

He is survived by his faithful wife, Guadalupe Sandoval Viera, and his children: Frances Viera Sawicki, Norma Viera, Melissa Viera and Franky Viera Jr.

He leaves behind grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Aaron Valero, Elijah Patlan, Cierra Sanchez, Lauren Valero, Shelby Devorah, Izaiah Viera-Devorah, Noah Viera, Luke Viera, and Laney Viera.

His legacy continues through his great grandchildren: Matilda Sanchez, Gideon Sanchez, Laylani Viera and Maxine-Jean Sanchez.

Frank is also survived by his brother, Edward Viera, and his sisters, Otilia Viera Jimenez, Mary Viera, and Hope Rodriguez, along with more than 15+ loving nieces and nephews who were blessed to call him their uncle.

Frank leaves behind more than memories. He leaves behind lessons - to work hard, to have faith, to stand up for yourself, to give your best, and to keep family close.

He leaves behind the laughter shared around a table, the stories told over the years, the games watched together, the family gatherings, and the countless moments that may have seemed ordinary at the time but will now become treasured memories.

His greatest legacy is the family he built and the generations that will carry his lessons, his faith, his strength, and his values forward.

Though our hearts are heavy with his absence, we find comfort knowing that the love and laughter he provided for his family will never leave us. His voice, his lessons, his laughter, and his love will continue to live on in his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
