Eustacio Briseno Diaz, passed away on May 6, 2025, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 86. Born on March 29, 1939, in Tlatenango, Zacatecas, Mexico, Eustacio's life was a life of hard work and laughter that touched all who knew him. Eustacio developed his tenacity from an early age as he grew up on the family farm where hard work was plentiful and life was simple. Eustacio took that same tenacity and emigrated to the the United States where his hard work eventually landed him a career at City Public Service in San Antonio. Eustacio had such a love for his culture and the Hispanic community, he would become involved in CPS's Hispanic Labor Union.

Throughout his career, Eustacio would serve as the President of the Hispanic Union at CPS, where he was highly respected for his leadership and commitment to his seeing effective change in the community. Eustacio was also known for his engaging personality and a sharp wit. Eustacio was quick with funny stories stories and had a contagious laugh.

Eustacio had a passion for boxing, which stemmed from his childhood when he trained in boxing. He earned the nickname "Koreano Diaz," as testament to his enthusiasm for the sport and the memories it brought him over the years. Eustacio was a complex man. He was a fighter. He enjoyed the humorous side of life. And anyone who knew him, knew he lived life on his own terms. The complexity of Eustacio made him easy to love and also a fierce opponent.

He is survived by his loving family: his brother Marcial, his sons, Jose and wife MaryAnn, Juan, Eustacio Jr. and wife Elizabeth; his daughters, Rosa and husband Richard, Lupe, and Sandra and husband James; and his grandchildren, John Joseph, Joshua Fabian, Amber, Eric, Amethyst, Johnathon Eric, Cassandra, Brittany, Nicholas, Benny, Joseph, Jacob, Gabriela, Jonathon, Abigail, Michael, and Mia, as many great grand children. Their lives have been forever enriched by his example of standing strong and not taking life too seriously.

Eustacio joins those who predeceased him, including his wife Herlinda, his loving parents Carlos and Esperanza Diaz, his siblings Atanacio, Alberto, Teresa, his sons Lucio and Alfredo. He will be remembered fondly by all for his ceaseless dedication to community and a strong way of living.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation and prayer service to be held on May 16, 2025, at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, South, located at 3520 South Flores Street, San Antonio, TX 78204. The visitation will take place from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, included is a prayer service at 6:30 PM.

Eustacio Briseno Diaz's legacy will continue to resonate through the hearts of many, as he leaves behind a profound impact that will never be forgotten. His life was a true celebration of family, hard work, and the joy of shared moments.
