Eliseo Ortiz Hernandez

Eliseo Ortiz Hernandez, a beloved figure in the San Antonio community, left this world on January 14, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on April 17, 1934, Eliseo lived a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished moments that will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends.

Eliseo was a man of many passions. He found joy in playing pool, a pastime that brought him great pleasure and camaraderie. An adventure seeker at heart, he often visited Kickapoo Casino, where the thrill of chance matched the excitement he found in life itself. His fondness for working outdoors on his home and listening to Tejano music reflected his vibrant spirit and the comfort he found in the simple pleasures of life.

Though he is deeply missed, the memory of Eliseo will always remain alive in the hearts of his daughters, Josie Marin, Ida O'bar, and Nelda Ramirez; and his son, Michael Hernandez. His legacy also continues with his step-son, Willie Villarreal, who shares in the sorrow of his absence as well as his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Eliseo reunites now with those he loved and lost, including his cherished spouse, Florinda Hernandez; his daughter, Belinda Hernandez; his son, Jesse Hernandez; and stepdaughter, Rosemary Martinez. Together again, they are surrounded by love and unity that transcends time.

As we remember Eliseo, we celebrate a life well-lived—filled with love for family, friends, and the joy that music and laughter bring. His legacy will resonate in the bonds he forged and the memories he gifted to those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered, forever loved.
