Edward Duran Jr.

Edward Duran Jr., born on August 22, 1972, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025. A family man who was deeply respected in the Billiards community, Edward dedicated his life to the sport he loved. His dedication was evident, with memories shared of him holding a pool stick even while he slept, a testament to the passion he had for the game.

Throughout his life, Edward cherished the moments spent with family, particularly with his nieces and nephews. He had a special tradition of inviting them to play pool, often under the radar from his sister, creating delightfully mischievous memories that they would fondly recall. His nephews Jonathen, Christopher, Justin, JD, and niece Jacquelynne were not only family but sources of joy and laughter in his life.

In addition to his family, Edward formed close bonds with his best friends Samantha Lano and Jacob Salas, with whom he lived. Their connection went beyond friendship; they were like family, sharing in life's ups and downs together.

Edward's contributions to the Billiards scene included founding local pool tournaments, reflecting his commitment to the sport and the community. His competitive spirit shone through as he participated in events like the US Open and accumulated numerous trophies and awards, marking his achievements with pride.

He is survived by his brothers Al, Juan, and Eliseo Jr.; his sisters Lydia, Severito, Rachel, Eva, Frances, and Mary; along with numerous nieces and nephews who carry forward his loving legacy.

Edward was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ladislada and Edward Sr., as well as cherished siblings Sylvia, Yolanda, Longoria, Ruben, and Patsy.

His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, not only for his skills on the pool table but also for the friendships and family ties he nurtured throughout his life. Edward Duran Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a deep passion for billiards that will not be forgotten.
