Dora Del Carmen Salgado, cherished mother and vibrant spirit, departed this world on January 26, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on November 5, 1948, in Nicaragua, Dora embodied a life filled with love, joy, and an unwavering dedication to her family.

Throughout her life, she was known for her loving and fiercely protective nature, always advocating for her loved ones with the passion of a true cheerleader. Dora had a spirited personality, infused with strong opinions that she expressed openly and honestly, and a heart that radiated warmth and compassion. Her generosity and care for others left an indelible mark on all who came to know her.

Dora took great pleasure in her hobbies, with a love for gardening that allowed her to nurture life in a very personal way. She found joy in singing and dancing, often filling the room with laughter and music, enriching the lives of both family and friends. Dora was also known for her exceptional cooking, bringing people together around tables filled with delicious meals and heartfelt conversations.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris and her husband David, who Dora adored; amazing grandchildren Vincent and Madison, Madison; beloved mother, Juana; siblings, Juana, Enrique, Mercedes, German, and Teresa; she will be deeply missed by her two nieces she adored as her own daughters Maria Adilia and Sojaira Eliza; as well as her extended family and many close friends. Immense gratitude to the Perez family for their love and support. Dora was preceded in death by her father, Juan Carlos Paz.

A memorial service to honor Dora's remarkable life will be held on February 20, 2026, starting at 1:00 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, Northeast located at 14315 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78233. A Rosary will follow at 3:00 PM, leading into a Mass at 3:30 PM. Family and friends are welcome to come together to celebrate her life and remember the joy she brought to all.

Dora Del Carmen Salgado, querida madre y espíritu vibrante, partió de este mundo el 26 de enero de 2026 en San Antonio, Texas. Nacida el 5 de noviembre de 1948 en Nicaragua, Dora encarnó una vida llena de amor, alegría y una dedicación inquebrantable a su familia.

A lo largo de su vida, fue conocida por su naturaleza amorosa y ferozmente protectora, siempre defendiendo a sus seres queridos con la pasión de una verdadera animadora. Dora tenía una personalidad enérgica, impregnada de opiniones firmes que expresaba de manera abierta y sincera, y un corazón que irradiaba calidez y compasión.
