A true family man, Donald was completely dedicated to his loved ones, demonstrating unwavering support, especially at his grandchildren's sporting events. There, he could often be found cheering passionately from the sidelines, embodying the essence of encouragement and joy that is the hallmark of a devoted grandfather. His love and pride for his family were evident in every interaction, and he cherished each moment spent together.

An enthusiastic fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs, Donald took joy in the thrilling moments of a good game, sharing this passion with those around him. His interests extended beyond sports, as he found happiness in traveling, enjoying cruises, and dancing. Each adventure was an opportunity to create cherished memories that would last a lifetime.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Nora Ontiveros, and his caring children, Victoria Ontiveros (Jonathan), Brandon Ontiveros, Nina Andrade (Ralph), Richard Andrade (Letty), Xavier Andrade, and Chris Andrade (Vanessa). He is also survived by his brother Joseph Medellin. His family tree flourishes with 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who will carry forward his spirit of love.

He was predeceased by his parents, Cynthia and Jose Medellin, and his son Richard Andrade III, who are surely welcoming him in a harmonious reunion.

A heartfelt memorial service will be held on August 4, 2025, at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South in San Antonio. The memorial service will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by a prayer service at 6:30 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Donald's life, sharing stories and the warmth of his memory.

In this time of sorrow, we hold tight to the moments that made us smile, the laughter we shared, and the love that will forever remain in our hearts. Donald Ontiveros may have departed from this world, but his memory will resonate through the lives he touched so deeply, and his spirit will continue to inspire all of us who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
