Donald Ray Barnhill

Don Barnhill, 93, of San Antonio went to be with Lord on Friday, May 15, 2026. He was born on April 21, 1933 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to Mary Rooks and Leslie Edgar Barnhill.

On June 14, 1957 he married Floris "Flossie" Jean Oakes. He was a devoted husband until her death in 2022. They were founding members of Madison Hills Baptist Church, where he served for many years as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. He leaves behind a legacy of faith and service through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Don was a quiet man but his love was loud. He loved God, his family and his church.

His memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Madison Hills Baptist Church. The burial will follow on Monday, May 25, 2026 at the Oakes Cemetery near Donie, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Madison Hills Baptist Church Building Fund, 15413 O'Connor Road, San Antonio, Texas 78247.
