Diego was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Juanita Resendiz, with whom he shared over 60 joyful years of marriage. Their life together was a testament to deep love, partnership, and mutual respect. Together, they built a foundation of family unity that endures through the generations.
Diego’s pride and joy were his family. He leaves behind cherished memories for his daughters, Irma Resendiz, Olivia resendiz, and Lucy Resendiz, who will forever hold close the lessons and love he imparted. As a grandfather, he showered affection and guidance upon BJ Gamez, Sean A Gamez, Miranda Candelaria, Estrella Vasquez, Esperanza Vasquez, Mia Terrazas, and J Terrazas. He was further blessed with great-grandchildren: Caeli Gamez, Matheo Candelaria, Angel Candelaria, Logan Candelaria, and Santiago Rivera. His legacy endures in each of their lives, and his example of unconditional support is a touchstone for every member of the family.
Diego cultivated a life that was filled with simple joys. He loved to go on vacation with his wife to South Padre Island, creating treasured memories by the sea.
